RE:"I'm the Blue-Sky Guy-don't forget." CEO Clynt NaumanSometimes Clynt says things that just make me smile - "I'm the blue sky man don't forget". Thanks for the quote. Im going to steal it and use it. :)
Smart drilling the "Deep" next to Hector in between Elsa, the entire area used to be a point of discussion as to where the bottom was. Usually each area "just petered out", Geologists always knew there there could be more below, just a matter of economics. From reports Hector petered out and was left before the drilling depth that is being reported next door which is encouraging. I am sure that most investors know this is a tricky area to mine profitably. Always has been and may be in the future.
I have made no secret of liking the Alexco Environmental Division (still do) and the work they continue to perform on Keno Hill. IMHO Its required. Plus of course it like hmmm they get paid. :) BTW this applies to not just Keno Hill but others areas in the Yukon. One of the biggest expenses for mine remediation in the Yukon is not Keno Hill.
Yes there are hills of silver in Keno Hill area (including the tailings, the stuff is like walking on talcum powder and needs to be reprocessed and the entiire area should be remediated IMHO).
Of course there is a lot of silver, including areas that are now listed as requiring current and ongoing remediation; Keno Hill never ran out silver (yet) it just became uneconomical to proceed at various point in time.
Hope that Alexco succeeds for a lot reasons, including the shareholders but the next quarters will tell in addition to where the price of silver is at.
History has shown that pofits and success will depend a lot on the price of silver, the cost of extraction and processing at any given point in time.
I don't beleive that has changed now and will change in the future. All of the above is just my opinion.
