On January 13, The Wall Street Journal reported that President Obama will ask the FCC to "overturn state laws that prevent cities and towns from building their own high-speed broadband networks".
Hard to say if restrictions like the ones proposed by ALEC have had a negative impact on the Axia business model in the US, but it is nice to know that maybe someone is looking out towards the future and a business model that is more like Axia's. A link to some good info on the subject....
