Div?

Div?Great quarter, just as everyone expected.  This company is a cash machine.

Would it kill RIM to implement a dividend though?

1.  They're have 2.5 B in cash right now and project to add another billion next quarter
2. Share repurchases are okay, but it looks like they've already bought the 22 million shares they were allowed under their share buyback program. (June 2010 - 552 mil shares outstanding, Nov 27 - 524 mil shares).
3.  A 25 cent quarterly div would only cost 525 M a year

I'd rather they gave me back some money rather than blow it on overpriced acquistions unrelated to their core business.

It probably wouldn't hurt the stock price either .......
