Tell a lie 2 x's doesn't make it true

Tell a lie 2 x's doesn't make it true

Seems pretty clear, we all read what we want to believe. Companies hire teams of lawyers just to protect themselves from any wrong doing.  Yet the equity markets are still the wild west.  Just a year ago this board was out to punish Mr. Misek, now it seems he can do no wrong.  I have serious doubts concerning "market research" and voo-do math used by these firms and encourage any lawyers out there to wager an opinion on the following.  If an individual, willfully knows, or constructs analysis which is not based on fact, could and should be held liable for mischef and be open to civil recourse.  It would be nice to handicap these  "Professionals" and publish their track records.  If I were to start a rumour concerning Blackberry on this site, I am open to liable. Just like Mr Burke protecting his rights, these "analysts" should be held to a higer standard, and be fined the regulators for mischief, or as some opine they act as a proxy for others.
