connecting the dots - lowball buyout by Prem is likely

based on rumors and reports, put two and two together, I got the following story:

1. Prem notified BB that he wanted to buyout BB and then resigned as director; and Thorsten set up special committee to handle the issue.
2. Prem made a bid at quite low price, Thorsten was not satisfied.
3. Thorsten approached Lenovo, who agreed to buy BB at $17, but asked BB to make sure the Canadian government approve the deal, and therefore BB started to lobby the government.
4. As Lenovo deal approval by the Canadain government could be a long process and is very uncertain, Thorsten considers accepting Prem's low-ball bid. As Prem is the largest shareholder of BB, Thorsten hires Perella to prepare a fairness report about the deal. Less
