At the end of fiscal Year 2011, Blackberry Retained earnings ( accumulated profits since its existance)
was $6.56B...highest ever than any preceding year

Now their Retains Earnings presently, is $7,183B

They added $623M  more profits, since then F2011.

Admittingly it could have been more, if its was not for all those writeoffs made
for future writeons

Now fundamentally, the company is strong, so why would one sell out for $9.00?

The Stock Exchanges
The other 90% of shareholders will have to vote on it and I don't think
they will.
The Media and the Analysts are trying very hard to scare us into selling out
