RE:RE:RE:Sell-through vs. shipments
Blackberry shelf-spaces were empty at the Carriers by 15.9 M phones.

https://seekingalpha.com/article/1706652-blackberry-5-things-to-know-about-its-earnings-warning

Understandably, because of the new BB10 roll outs were approaching.

So Blackberry had lots of shelf spaces to hold the early shipments of 3.7M BB phones in
Q4 2013 & Q12014

So why this huge write off of $930M Z10phones in Q2?.. when some of these BB10 phones were sold and not all were Z10.

Seems as Z10 phones were being produced in Q2 they were being
written off immediately as obsolete

We seen when they purchased Paratek in Q1 2013. the goodwill was recognised
and wriiten off immediately in the very Quarter

All these writeoffs and provisions to clean up the Books were to let the Shareholders bore those future costs now, so when the Company is taken over, the Acquirer will reap the profits.

So was this rush to write off, most of these Z10 without giving it time to sell,
and to cause the Q2 to look bad, the reasons to sell the Company dirt cheap to a recent Insider.

Only my opinion
