What to think about Chen's latest interviewThe conversation on Fox today really shows what a savy speaker Chen really is. Not getting too deep into what was said exactly because we all heard it over and over again, and I think the interview was mainly to untwist the words from Reuters statements regarding selling or discontinuing the handset business.
My opinion from that interview shows Chen to be very much in contol, and displays a very positive wait and see tone on it all. I and I'm sure most people believe that we are riding on Johns reputation and past a little too much. The interview is full of "I thinks" and "moving towards". It's all based on future hope. I guess thats all part of it, but there doesn't seem to be any strength in any of the sectors. Blackberry is like a new company with a big head start. There is no glory for this company being Canadian that's for sure. In the interview Chen boasted what an advantage it is being a Canadian company, that's a load of BS in my opinion because if BB was a US company the SP would be 20 bucks easy and everyone wants US products. That's a fact, so John is suckin up a bit and he knows it.
Success and turnaround is looking more and more further rather than nearer.
