RE:Apple Vs. FBI: Federal Judge BLOCKS Law To Unlock iPhone !!!This case was against a NY drug dealer in the state of NY.
The San Bernardino terrorist case is in California.
This case may have some bearing on the California case, but there are some big differences.
Such as - Ownership of the iphone. In NY, the drug dealer owned the iphone and in California the employeer of the terrorist owned the iphone and wants the phone unlocked and is on side with the FBI for Apple to unlock it.
In the end, it's sad that the terrorist wasn't using a Blackberry.
Chen and Blackberry can unlock ONE device without creating backdoors or jeopardizing other Blackberry users security.
In the court of public opinion, Apple is losing in regards to the terrorists in California.
It will cost them sales and future customers imo and it will cost them in legal fees and marketing campaigns to try and convince the US public that "It's okay to not unlock a terrorists iphone and to fight an FBI investigation".
