I think there was a misunderstanding Yasch.

He said that Blackberry has 38k patents that are still very relivant and are related to mobile.

So, I think he was saying that Blackberry has 38,000 patents that it can monetize (still in the 1st inning of patent licensing to other companies) in direct relation to other mobile phone makers to license.
