RE:RE:RE:the bad newsI suspect Blackberry is waiting for BB10 to pass US government security regulations before they send out the BB10 OS update ghostzapper. That way if there are any tweaks needed, Blackberry can do the tweak without sending a second OS update right after the first one. This is just a guess.
As for the full touch Android device being released this year: I own a Blackberry z30 and love it. Unfortunately it is looking a little rough and my screen cracked (finally) when I dropped my phone onto a brick pathway by accident when night when I was plastered. I am definitely interested in the Android full touch device IF Blackberry doesn't over-price it.
This will of course determine whether Blackberry continues to develop and design smartphones in the future. If Blackberry is very aggressive on pricing, then I think they can make a go of it. If they continue to over price their devices; I suspect these mid-range devices to be their last.
There is a ton of competition in the mid-range Android smartphone market.
Blackberry has some unique software, security and features they add to differentiate their devices from other Android OEM's. Unfortunately consummers generally don't care about security or business apps. So, Blackberry MUST price these mid-range devices extremely aggressively or it's going to result in the same lousy PRIV sale numbers.
I'm cautiously optimistic, but until I see the price, I'm not whistling dixie yet.
