RE:RE:RE:EPS & Revenue numbers for this FridayOne last thought....Chen is the king of under promising and over-delivering.
BlackBerry has beaten on every metric except for revenue in the last 10 quarters or so.
Last quarter they beat the estimate on revenue, and this quarter will be the same.
I think people are going to lose a lot of money shorting BlackBerry now.
They have far too many good sources of revenue with many more possible moving forward.
IP licensing is a bonus and shouldn't be forgotten as a possible surprise as well.
It's possible BlackBerry doesn't meet expectations this quarter, but the ship has turned and the wind is filling the sails. Security is paramount and BlackBerry has it in ALL aspects of it's business. It's what they do.
Get in line, the company is set to tear it up imo. BlackBerry has far too much going for it to short it.
On top of everything, they are cash rich and ripe for the taking. Luckily the insiders do not want to sell for a "cheap" price. Not to mention a possibly large US government cybersecurity contract maybe coming (that is speculation of couse as is a buyout, but must be considered).
Also, because they are flush with cash and are nimble enough to scoop up smaller companies that can add synergy to the overall business, don't be too surprised if Chen has planned to officially ink a deal with another smaller business that will add value.
I wouldn't short anymore and I'm shocked that there are so many that are going back to the well for one last drink. The well is dry and your days are numbered. The shorts lost last quarter and lost when the arbitration came done and they will lose again at the end of this week.
