Yep. Sadly, it's become all about the narrative. Context is often disregarded in the effort to "win friends and influence others." (for those who haven't heard of the book by this title, Google it)

Ironic that Dale Carnegie wrote his book over 80 years ago, and it is now more timely than ever. I would say that the hedge funds and trading houses have succeeded in the past by managing/controlling the narrative, and now the Reddit crew is doing the same (albeit in a transparent fashion, imo)
