And typical of the Canadian way, they both probably got off with a reprimand, a couple of bruises, and a funny story to hash out with friends while nicking a bit of whiskey from their dad's basement liquor cabinet. One of the things they'll laugh about is all the grown-ups deciding to describe their "arrests" as the actions of a fascist police force, as you've been doing.

Be clear about that. They'll be laughing at you. They'll be parents with young kids or sickly grandparents, and understanding exactly why government regs during the pandemic were important.

Regarding celebrities, politicians, and sports figures, you just can't stop deking and honking. The vast majority of all of them mask up regularly. Almost every one of them is fully vaccinated. And almost all of them follow government guidelines on social distancing. Justin Trudeau and every single politician in the Liberal Party as well as just about every NDP or Tory politician does the same. But you're only interest is to find RARE examples of lapses and then to go honk-honk about it all day long.

But all of us are guilty of lapses, aren't we? That's "par for the course." It's also "par for the course" that someone who has achieved tremendous wealth or fame or political standing is slightly more likely to get away with one of those lapses. Someone like Donald Trump, for example.

It's funny in a sick kind of way to see you constantly refer to Prime Minister Trudeau as "PM Blackface". That was a minor lapse of judgement, wasn't it? For his entire life, the guy has treated people from other races and ethnicities with massive respect. You on the other hand seem to be incapable of respect. What happened to you? Where does that hatred come from?

Thanks Yasch, couldn't have said it any better. I don't know where you find the time and energy for this ignorant narrow minded individual greenday, but you certainly have my respect for it. When I continually read his or her childlike reference to the PM as "PM Blackface", that tells me everything I need to know about their political affiliation and where they get their "information" from. It's not too difficult to figure out. I think you're better off beating your head against the wall than engaging in any kind of meaningful dialogue, but that's just me.

Thanks for all your invaluable posts.
