It was traded from Ottoman Empire in 1774 to Russia and Annexed to them in 1783.. in 1921 Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Repblic was created Dissolved in 1945. Russian (1945-1954) Then in 1954-1991 was under Ukraine rule. A referendum in 1991 to rejoin Russia was passed......For almost 200 years it was under Russian control and 37 years under Ukraine control....... Just look at the borders of NATO when the USSR fell and it's current status now and please explain how it expanded when the agreement was not one inch to the east? A little backgound on Ukraine you might or might not know as well. The kids of Pelosi, Romney, Kerry and master tactician Joe Biden all work for Ukraine Gas companies. None have any experience in gas industry but I digress . I really don't want to argue with you as I was just trying to get you to see the other side's issues.
