The backlog is for next 7 years. includes cars and gem.
people see Baidu sold 40,000 cars and assume that's going to add to our quarterly revenue. That's not how it works. This is already baked into our revenue and backlog.
Our backlog for licensing is 650m for next 7 years. Basically we are kinda guaranteed 100m from licensing for qnx PER YEAR for next SEVEN YEARS!! So about 25m revenue per quarter for qnx is guaranteed.
So where does the other renue come from? it's the seats they sell for developmet. So they continuously have to keep finding new customers to show growth. Thsi is little scary.
