Scalabilityu

Scalabilityu

That word keeps popping up in various business articles so I thought it best to check it out. From Design News :BlackBerry says Ivy is “a scalable, cloud-connected software platform.” The company co-developed Ivy with cloud experts Amazon Web Services.

From Investopedia ....Scalability

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/scalability.asp#:~:text=Scalability%20refers%20to%20a%20business,resulting%20in%20higher%20profit%20margins.

What is a software platform? How is it different than a product? The answer is here:
https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/software-platform#:~:text=A%20platform%20is%20a%20set,teams%2C%20data%2C%20and%20processes.

Never hear anyone talk about this and maybe I'm not getting it but I was wondering since IVY is the cat's a** for vehicles then why can't it also work for home, business and personal devices? If it's that good and is also protected by same company that built it then should competition be worried?
