There is confusion being created by FUDsters. Blackberry will create about 550 million shares for iot qnx. if you own 100 shares of BB, you will get 100 shares of QNX iot. They might create extra 10-50 million shares that they can give to investment bank to distrbute to new outsider buyers...this helps to raise cash. BB doesn't need cash BTW....so an investment bank helping with IPO say JP Morgan could just hold onto those shares as investment. iot will be about 100-200 billlion dollar company in next 1-5 years once IVY is deployed for cars, cities, drones, planes, medican, etc.
so if you own 100 BB shares...next year you will have 100 BB shares and 100 iot shares. The value will be what BB is today plus what IOT will be valued.
Why is the SP tanking? Because the banks are trying to buy much as possible before the IPO. After IPO it will be worth lot more since next 2 qtrs revenue is going to be much much higher.
