The END of BB? ....Finally?

The END of BB? ....Finally?Well, folks it was a long time coming and only a matter of time when this day would FINALLY come. The company has been in such a bad state for so many years and nothing they tried seemed to work or turn the company around. In reality, this company never truly recovered for what Apple & the introduction of the IPhone did to them over a decade ago. It totally destroyed BB from the inside and the lucrative monoploy they enjoyed for so many years in the mobile business. Then Apple came with it's flash new phone and THAT was the beginning of the end for Blackberry............

If there's a case study for massive paradigm shifts in the business arena and it's eventual consequences & imPACT to all participants then THIS IS IT. Or at least a pretty good one to teach to all in EVERY every business oriented school. I'm not a s/h atm, but i did follow the company very closely in the distant past when times were much more conducive, brighter & welcoming for poor Blackberry and its stock holders. But dear god, how times have changed for the company, for the worse and leading it to it's eventual demise.......in brutual fashion i may add.

So i do sympathize somewhat with folks who've been stuck in this mess for such a long time. And there doesn't seem to be any light left at the end of this very long, dark tunnel for the company & it's suffering s/h. Imho, this dies here and i don't think it will EVER come out of that dark place after THAT unexpected annoucement. But truly, this shouldn't be a BIG surprise that the company ended in this place, because all the signs were there, and they were there for YEARS, that some type of failure or massive transformation was about to take place. So anyone who was a s/h for a vERY long time & was still holding up to the press release, you can only blame yourselves IF you decided to ignore all those RED FLAGS.....and continue holding.....hoping.

Now it's too late to do anything to salvage your losses here and must make a critical decision. So the question you must ask yourselves now is this, will the breakup of the company offer ANY additional value to the individual units AND are they worth anything to s/h? If the answer if NO then it would be prudent.....and wise..... to get out now before things get eventually worse & your losses reach 100%. If the answer is yes, then the next question is WHICH unit is all the value in and which one will be the unwanted leftovers? Why do i ask this? Because in a situation like this, it usally means when a company breaks up in this fashion, that usually, ONE aspect of the company is where ALL the value (left!!!) is in and the rest is more or less unwanted, worthless trash eating the company from the inside.

Though it's really sad it has come to this, please realize my dear frinds that things could have been much much worse. As there seems to be some hints of a possible "NORTEL" like failure here also. But i do not think this is EXACTLY like the Nortel situation or it would have falied long ago if it was. Becasue trust me, the ingredients were there for that to "possibly" happen as well and it could have easily happened if certain things fell into place......at the wrong time. So count your lucky stars that what the company recently annnounced in their press release WAS the eventual outcome.......and NOT sometihng worse!

GLTA
