Few people really believed that. I guess some
expectation was there at the beginning that Chen could turn it around and it was reflected in the share prices at the time but within a couple years the reality began to set in that he was flailing away. The worthless acquisitions he made at the outset just showed him up as totally incompetent trying to build revenue and profit with money losing bow wows that added no inate value here whatsoever. The money wasted on Cylance was just icing on that cake. 

Anyone who thinks a turnaround happened here when the company went from $3 billion in cash at the outset to nothing today, to near a billion in revenue to less than half that today and never turning a profit represents some sort of turnaround is truly an idiot
