I mean why continue this embarassment? which enterprise wants to use BB phones over Iphone 13!!!

I mean BB itself claimed that security is no longer at hardware layer...everything we need is with BB UEM and UES. So why the heck continue to make these stupid ugly phones. Even if you can sell 500K phones it's at a fken loss. Even if the loss is to OWM, people will associate their failure with our stock price!!!

Listen, even if Onward sells 1M phones and Chen collects $10 (pure profit) per phone for name usage and another $10 per phone (high margin) for software / IP licensing, that's a win. As long as they don't do $20M damage to the blackberry  brand with a shitty or low security product, it's a win. Pure gravy.   All numbers are examples.

Looking back on the Fox Business interview, Chen mentioned someone looking to possibly license a phone (not exact wording), but didn't name OM and sounded a bit removed. Not exactly an endorsement for an entity one has a licensing deal with. I'm thinking more than ever that a good chunk of change is coming in and that OM isn't going to

It does matter yasch! Chen is not running a private company buddy! On wallstreet the sp matters and it's all about perception.  the niche buyers aren't going to bring big rev to bb so why the heck continue the phone narrative, which actually has lot more negative impact on the sp. the media will twist this more and make it sound like we only make phones. You can say whatever you want but just look at apple price. In the end cook delivered beating rev after rev. Chen gave up saying 5 years ago that phone was dead , cook proved him wrong year after year with rev growth. Chen looks stupid for making dumb statement.
