Balance sheet - Maher"You seem to like to quote Warren Buffet"
You appear to like to type...but people and things are often more complicated than they appear to be on the surface.
Buffett, has a lot of interesting things to say about investing, and doesn't mind sharing some of his wisdom with small investors like you and I. That doesn't mean he gets everything right and can't be very wrong about some things.
For example, I was reading Buffett back in the 80s. I liked his point about having patience and waiting for the "fat pitch". I waited for an opportunity to get into big pharma. Then in 1994 there was a big pull back in big pharma, and I backed up the truck. But then I looked around to see what Warren was doing and he was nowhere in sight.
I still own most of those positions which have performed very nicely over the years and continue to pay me fat dividends. A few years ago, I see Warren Buffett buying big pharma. At that time he remarked that not buying it in '94 was one of his biggest mistakes...
So, you have to wonder how smart the guy really is. Still, I think his approach is unique and he has a lot of wisdom to share.
Thanks for your opinion on what you feel he might do with Bombardier.
