Business jet activity upU.S. Business Aviation Traffic Up 11% Y/Y In March U.S. business aviation traffic is up 11% Y/Y so far in March following a 5% Y/Y decline in January and February according to WingX. Global business jet activity is down 2% Y/Y for the month to date. Business aviation accounts for 19% of all fixed wing activity so far in 2021 compared to 12% for the same period in 2020. The recovery in business aviation reflects the easing lockdown restrictions in several U.S. states. Activity in Europe is improving in March after a 26% Y/Y drop in January and February though U.K. flights are still down 50% Y/Y. WingX notes that activity in Europe is getting closer to normal with trends while in Asia, especially China, flight activity reflects the recovery from the lockdown. We continue to see business aviation traffic exhibit a higher level of resiliency during the pandemic which bodes well for Bombardier and CAE
