RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:CanaccordHedgetrimmer
Personally, I don't think there is much illegal activity at the most very much unethical activity.
The problem is how the rules are set up that favor overwhelmingly the trading houses with their ability to create shares out of nowhere and don't really have to account for them for at least 10 days or that is what they can easily get away with. Canada is the only western country that allows such activity that is why Canada is used prolifically as a shorting haven where you have 13 diifferent houses as dark pools where trades go through without any transparency and volume is higher than the tsx but the public is only allowed to see TSX trades unless you pay.
Will be interesting to see the summary of short sell activity for the for the last 2 weeks, not to be confused with the short interest ..should be out on monday.
Here is the link if interested.https://www.iiroc.ca/sections/markets/reports-statistics-and-other-information/short-sale-trading-statistics-and-reports
For example on the last report 18.5 % of all trades were of the shorting variety for BBD..but that is low compared to what it was in the recent past where at times went up into the 40%
Also I guess they put up their disclaimer claiming that they are not reponsible for false reporting of short trades in other words they are just the messenger.
Just goes to show how useless this IIROC is.
This is the first I see of this on the web site.

Club....do you think the hedgers have someone on the inside? One or more people who know the score before ER released. If I'm not involved and I'm the CEO then should I have the hard drives of the company computers of those who do know impartially checked for suspicious activity including any other device they possess and owned by company that's connected to Internet in weeks prior to PR. In good faith a CEO & board should also surrender their devices to the tekkies. Not likely to happen I figure.
