My opinion! We have to make Bombardier great again!

Dreamer,

Personally, I think that people on this Board are to hard on Bellemare.  Bellemare is like the doctor who is called to examine and to cure a patient with a terminal cancer.  The doctor has the choice to cut the patient's two legs to save his life or to let him suffer for a while before dying. Bellemare chose to cut the legs so the patient would still be alive.  Very weak yet but still alive.

The greatest culprit for what happened to BBD is PB, everybody knows that.  When Bellemare came on board, it was too late. he had an empty toolbox to do the job.

Lots of people are complaining that he had a golden handshake when he left.  Why should the doctor give up his fee because he cut the legs?  It is a sad story but the doctor was still entitled to cash his fee before leaving.

If we compare Bellemare's fee for the task he had to do with some other CEOs for what they do, I believe that he earned his pay.  And by the way I am not a relative of Bellemare or a paid agent.

Bellemarre didn't make the hard decisions, he made the easy popular ones and then cashed in royally, set us back 1 or 2 years..

Tinou, I agree with most of your points.  AB had a crucial work to do.  As I mentioned several times, his moves in getting out of commercial aviation at this time were certainly right.  No one could predict this pandemia and its effect on commercial aviation. GLTAL.

Bellemare steerheaded the partnership with Airbus then later recoiled after realizing almost too late it was sucking them dry of capital. In hindsight, a bad move and it was pure luck the deal closed just before covid hit. Bellemare deserves no credit at all for the commercial aviation blunder.

Flamingogold, that is your opinion and I respect it.  From my point of view and experience, all of these moves were well evaluated and based on exhaustive investigations made out of factual observations and verifications.  Sorry, but I must disagree with you.  GLTAL.
