This is just silly.  The government of India thinks that they can fix their balance of payment issue, and avoid a devaluation of currency, by limiting import of expensive things.  That doesn't work so well for a country that is dependent on countries purchasing their products.   This is a nothing story that will go nowhere.

My 1st thought was, if it passes, users will s8mpky lease and/or use charter services instead of purchasing.   Like from VistaJet, who's a Bombardier shop and who's CEO recently talked about expanding big in Asia (I pasted the link to the CNBC Africa article last week).
