Globe says Bombardier seen trading at good entry point

2023-05-01 08:27 ET - In the News

The Globe and Mail reports in its Saturday, April 29, edition that National Bank Financial analyst Cameron Doerksen has lowered his recommendation for Bombardier to "outperform" from "sector perform." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Doerksen gave his share target a $6 boost to $85. Analysts on average target the Class B shares at $78.14. Mr. Doerksen says in a note: "We downgraded Bombardier in February this year following a tremendous run for the stock through 2022, and since that time the stock has traded almost 12 per cent lower. Given that financial results have subsequently come in above our expectations and the company increased its 2025 targets in late March, we see the current share price as a more attractive entry point." With his 2025 estimates, Mr. Doerksen sees a future share target of over $100. The Globe reported on Feb. 13 that Mr. Doerksen figured that Bombardier was "due for a pause after a tremendous run." It could then be had for $59.38. The stock then soared to a 52-week intraday high of $70.99 on March 8. On March 25 Mr. Doerksen reaffirmed his "sector perform" call. He said he was buying more "on share price weakness." It was then worth $66.22.

Was due for a pause after a tremendous run.....??? What's that, was supposed to run to 82.00 and a pullback to 72.00 and go to 76.00. MM had conference call to short it. The valuation is a deeply too low.
