RE: BBD Gets Italian 1.54B - Kusch

RE: BBD Gets Italian 1.54B - KuschHi Kusch, yes, these are both pretty big developments.

We were expecting a response to Gulfstream's popular G650, and it should be interesting to see just how much better Bombardier intends to make the new Global series.

With respect to the Italian order, even with the C$ on the rise, $1.54 euros should translate to wholelotta C$.

An order like this helps cement Bombardier's leadership in Europe - which is the principal market for the High Speed Stuff. Bombardier is big in China, but North America lags sorely behind although, as Zimmee's post points out, is showing some potential.

Some of these things will take time to filter down to the bottom line, but things appear to be strengthening up for Bombardier going forward.

And the announcement of a fat order for CSeries at some point over the next few months should work to top things off nicely.
