Business Jets

Business JetsI know many sources don't like us copying and pasting their articles to the board so, I'm going to try to restrict myself to providing only a snippet and a link which seems to keep them happier. (That way hopefully they'll be less likelye less likely to restrict access to their articles)

Flight International is originally a British publication so you don't see many hardcopy editions even at libraries in North America, but along with Aviation Week www.aviationnow.com Air Transportation Week www.atwonline.com and Aviation International www.ainonline.com are some of the best sources I've found for following developments at Bombardier and its competitors in the aerospace segment:

Here's a snippet:

Bombardier's diverse product line has helped to lessen the impact of the economic crisis on its lower-end business jets. The Canadian airframer grew its inventory over the census period from 3,531 to 3,606. The light/superlight Learjet 40XR and 45XR tallies have climbed by eight and 19 respectively and the midsize Learjet 60XR by 19, as listed by ACAS. Further up the product line the annual tallies increase. The Canadian airframer will hope that the new all-composite Learjet 85 will dominate the midsize cabin arena when it enters service in 2013.
