If you're suggesting no poster should ever take any other poster seriously, that seems a little extreme..
Credibility is something a person earns. It doesn't matter if that person is an analyst, a journalist, or a humble poster. If he/she tries to stick to the fundamentals, generally try to make sense, and try to bring interesting info to the board its probably worth at least the time it takes to read his/her posts.
If that person makes excessive negative assertions, employs emotional rhetoric, and personal insults to make his/her case, he/she is probably not worth reading.
There's nothing wrong with listening to information, and informed comment/opinion shared here. Most readers are quite capable of evaluating what's useful, and what's not in the context of their own needs and interests.
While a discussion board shouldn't be your only source when making an investment decision, it can be a good place to share info, and get a little feedback on your thinking.
