This why Ontario PM wants to join with Quebec.
2015 Bombardier is a significant economic partner for Ontario.
Bombardier has had a major industrial presence in two Ontario
cities — Toronto and North Bay — for over 20 years. Today, Bombardier
directly employs more than 3,700 people for its aerospace activities —
approximately 17% of Ontario’s aerospace employment — in well-paid,
high-tech jobs.
Toronto is the centre of excellence for the most historic commercial
aircraft in Canada, the Dash8/Q-Series family, and a major contributor to
the province’s aerospace legacy. Today’s state-of-the-art manufacturing
facilities are at the heart of Ontario’s expanding aerospace sector with
manufacturing operations that span five highly successful aircraft and
90% of production destined exclusively for customers based in foreign
markets.
The manufacturing of the Bombardier Global 7000 and Global 8000
aircraft represents the future of business aircraft aviation
industry worldwide.
Bombardier’s Toronto site:
•
Is a 157,935 square-metre facility located on 150 hectares of land,

•
