Its matters what engine goes on this aircraft not only for performance but also delivery constraints by engine maker. Pratt and GE have hands full with GTF and Leap. They could aford to not bid. Pratt chose not to compete for G700 due capacity, and GE didn't budget on price due to volume. RR might be on it by default and this is good as their biz jet engine is not as efficient as Pearl engines and PW800.
