No help for Bombardier from government

i skimmed over the document, but i see nothing that will help Bombardier. the only help to aerospace industry is for air carriers and airports. Don't expect the price to shoot up. Maybe explains what happened to the A-shares today.

tomski1981, Martel already mentionned not that far away that for now they don't need any help from Gouverments, he must have something in mind, or already helping in a certan way, what do you think!

That s also my understanding.  We will see but I believe this is the will at this time.  With all the public polemics around any govnt help to BBD, I believe it is a much better way to go.  But this is my own opinion as a BBD long investor who is fed up of public polemics around BBD and still believer of a new future.  Time will tell...  GLTAL

Misleading post. Some will think that our government has turned it's back on BBD. This afternoon Chrystia Freeland told us how deep in the red we are thanks to many government programs to help us through this pandemic including of course assistance to BBD in the form of very expensive wage subsidies. Granted, some industries are receiving more, but the heading is misleading on it's ...more

It's unfortunate that govt people aren't that smart though. Bombardier currently pays I'm guessing $60M a month in interest and pref dividends. If the govt loaned them this money interest free (or charge them a few % and give it back via wages), it wouldnt cost them anything and wouldn't add to the debt either as it would be repaid eventually. Whereas now what they give BBD in wage ...more

Zimmee, help may come later! As mentionned here a while ago, that Martel and not time long ago said for now, they don't need help from Gov! he must sure have some good cards in his hands!

johnney (624)    I believe the next financial help would be at the next federal budget 2021-2022 delivered usually in the 3rd week of March every year.

we all know what quebec or canadian Gov. help would look like imo, small amount of money for high % ownership of the company and they would want to cancel dual share structure if canadian or quebec gov realy want to help bbd they would have got them 9.5 billion financing at  between 0-2% guarnteed by gov bbd would had to sell BT and would be able to handle 100 -200,millions $ of interest ...more

IN MY OPINION, 1- as long as the makers and distributers of COVID DO NOT HIT THE WORLD WITH A THIRD AND FORTH WAVE 2- AS LONG AS Trump does not force a middle east war, or problems with Iranian, Turks, or.... bbd will be able to manage on its own, and find a reasonable financing imo, keep IQ. CDPQ, Gov away, otherwise bbd may loose BA as they lost C series and BT

Shamhorish, hope of none of this will happen!
