In my opinion, somebody paid somebody off to halt the trading.
The reason given in the news release sounds pretty lame to me.
The TSX group are trying to give you the impression that they are on top of things by calling the halt to protect joe investor from "bad"  trading data.
If it continues to be halted tomorrow I think that will make it obvious.
If the stock continued to drop, it would make the deal look even worse than it already does.
There's too much at stake to let the deal go down the tubes, which it may any ways now that the banks are trying to "renegotiate" their terms.
Something stinks real bad here!
