BCE layoffs

No money to be made in news media. Publically funded CBC has no such problem. Maybe it's time CBC News split into independently managed CBC-L and CBC-R divisions with left and right-leaning news reporting and perspectives. It would probably attract alot more viewers and readers. After all, it's our taxpeyer money going into this broadcaster. People deserve to hear both sides of the stories.

CBC is the one station I refuse to watch or listen. I'm not into lies, and propaganda

Some people are not into lies and propaganda but they sure are into spreading them. All of the major media outlets get to gorge at the government trough.  Bell Media is no exception. Its not like they did not have their own federal moat to protect their business empire for decades. Streamlining and adjusting to tough ecomonic times is all part of business. BCE has shown time and again
