Any idea why there is hardly an trading volum in BDI today?

BDI's trading volume has been very low for the past few years, except when they've had some positive or interesting news which they have had over the past 4-5 months. If you look at the level 2 bid/asks, there's not always a tonne of buyers/sellers at any given time. Additionally, there seems to be a fair amount of OTC (Over the Counter) trading where you can't see the bid/ask

thank you for the detailed response.  i was referring specificaly to day volume.  there is only 80 shares exchanged considering the other low volume trading acitivities this is extra low for today

Yes, today is very low, but this is not that unusual for BDI if you've followed them for a few years. I watch the Level 2 very carefully and in fact I am pretty sure there are one or two traders playing around with this stock for their benefit because the volumes are so low.
