Black Diamond Group Swings to Profit in Q1, Expects Positive Momentum to Continue Through 2021

09:48 AM EDT, 05/06/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Black Diamond Group Limited (BDI.TO), a provider of space rental and workforce accommodation solutions, overnight Wednesday reported first-quarter profit of $2.7 million, or $0.05 per share, rising from a loss of $100,000 in the year-ago quarter.

Total revenue increased to $65.8 million from $45.1 million a year ago. Total adjusted EBITDA also rose to $13.3 million from $9.9 million a year ago.

Since the start of the year, Black Diamond's Workforce Solutions segment has been awarded contracts totaling over $56.1 million in revenue, the company said.

Black Diamond expects to see continued positive momentum during the rest of the year as recently signed contracts begin contributing late in the second quarter.
