I am really hoping that Brookfield just walks away from this one, it smells like a real mess.  BIP.UN will end up making about 1 billion based on thier share ownership or just hold on to 5% of Pembina post merger...

Brookfield may not the ultimate decision maker on this since they tend to have partners when it comes to these purchases. I suspect that could be the situation here.
