NG Futures and short positions

Cramer was saying today that at the end of Aug. there were 166,000 in open interest contacts and that the shorts were at record numbers.

A lot of short covering going on according to him and his commodity adviser.

There are according to him still 66,000 shorts to be covered.

As for a current top, who knows, $6.15? or $10.00?

His words, not mine.
These short covering rallies never end well.

I'll keep my core position and add at a later date.

That generally means there is a sharp drop at some point. Much like what has happened in lumber and other commodities recently. That is the norm but I'm on the fence with this thrust upwards. Europe is now paying $23.00 to our $5.50. I'm sure that as much as possible is being shipped from NA. Russia would like to increase the flows to Europe but are filling their own reserves for winter ...more
