Nuclear or Natural gas

Chernobil disaster 1986. Nearest city 3 miles away, still uninhabitable. Natural gas , safest , cleanest, cheapest. No comparison whatsoever. Why do people compare. 100 yrs from now, Nat gas will still be heating homes. Guaranteed!!!

It is weird that Germany and France have completely different view points on the nuclear power. Not sure what Canada's stance is on the subject or where it's policy is going as per Green Energy Act.

I thave geard the difference is that Germany has a well established and powerful anti-nuclear lobby. That and the fact that Germans are much more rational people overall. Fukishima scared the sh*t out of them. Note: you can probably build close to all the gas fired generating capacity you need in Ontario to power the whole province with the same amount of money needed to refurbish one of ...more
