I think Eric dissed BIR on twit Has the buyback vs. variable dividend debate finally been settled? You can't value what you cant' measure (variables) vs. buybacks = production per share growth + underlying bid for the stock + enduring dividend increase as fewer shares are left to service with FCF.

 The market is fickle and will punish you especially if the big boys have control while I like the special divi a nice gift for being patient it looks like the market would have liked to have seen the money go to debt. Long term it's a nothing burger. Good for short term traders which isn't me

Agreed - special divy is nice for me...great timing before Black Friday and Xmas. I'll take my reward for being patient.

I agree , because that's exactely what fellow W.E.F controlled governments , are already doing in europe.

I don't see anything wrong with how BIR is being managed.  They've done exactly  what they said they intended and did a great job at that.  They are way above the  rest of the pack IMO.  The issue is simply after yesterdays surge and todays selloff in the commodity price,  the shorters saw their opportunity to get even and sold it down.  This has the

Eric had been dissing BIR since 2020 - all good. I'll take my 0.20 dividend and more coming next year. Jeff's retirement fund as Eric likes to call it - is my retirement fund too. The future looks bright.  Eric says he/we want to get paid but he is investing in companies like TVE (which I have a position in) that are making large acquistions - not returning cash to investors.
