this company hasnt made a profit ever..just keeps losing money each quarter after quarter

in this downturn this is exactly what happens. share price of companies that dont make profit finally come down to reality. i expect $2 or even $1 share price by 2022 year end.

if all institution investors refuse to buy anymore shares through private placements and let blackline manage on their own with cash flows then blackline will be bankrupt in 6-9 months..

Good points!  On the other hand, I believe the private placement might be family-related with deep pockets (Daryl Katz = DAK Capital), but doesn't mean they want to throw that kind of money out the window.  While they've been financing/buying a large part of the company, and so has management, they've also diluted the rest of the original and retail investors out to gain ...more

Aquaman I disagree to quite a few of the points. first off i dont think blackline will be acquired because no one will buy them. they are over priced right now and have a negative ebitda.. do you really think this company is worth 200 million... At some point, they'll be able to slow the expenses/development and increase profitability, at which point institutions could take notice and want ...more

Thank you for your inputs Rosewell.  I always appreciate a good civilized and articulated argument and exchange! Their revenues have been steadily growing and at $54M in the last year (despite all the headwinds of Covid-related issues, which have been tremendous!) with no sign of stopping its steady growth - semi-slow, but steady.  Expenses need to be reigned in, though you do need to ...more

I have no idea if either of you have listened to the conference call. With $30 Million in cash and  $15 million line of credit that gives a margin of safety while they lessen the cash burn. I do have a note that they say they have enough cash to get to break even but as one of the analyst reports say the margins for error are smaller than then they would be if the the world was not screwd up. ...more

these next 6 months are going to be important. inflation is here to stay. i have heard some analysts on cnbc saying that interest rate would have to be very high till 2024. its very hard for prices to come down by much so costs are going to be high for blackline. blackline has to raise prices on everything! lots of good value tech stocks out right now. facebook, snap, salesforce, paypal. i am ...more

@possible, I haven't had a chance to listen to the conference call yet, but did know about the cash at hand.  I just hope they won't need to go through yet another round of financing later down the line ...would appreciate if they made the efforts to stop diluting us ...I've been holding shares for a long time and feel like I took the risk with them, but have not been rewarded for ...more

Just listened to it "diagonally" while working in the background. As always, the interesting part is the Q&A since we can look at the financials/numbers directly more efficiently. 10-15% price increase in product/service - remains to be seen if it'll be detrimental or if it will go through easily.  The answer there was pretty broad and non-specific. Interesting to hear ...more
