Let's tally the forcasting

I predicted "Higher for Longer" rates, even before I came here, even when Central Banks propoganda of "Transiant" was going on, I believed in "Higher for Longer"....

I said Buying Back Prefers would make financial sense....  NCIB began shortly after.

I said the A's share price will gain against the T's.... They have been over past 6 months.

I said/saying  100% gain on my share prices....   Many have 100% gains already from the bottom.

I said BPO better in TFSA given high yields and Massive Capital Gains.

The three amegos basically said the opposite.

El unico amigo who bothers with your drivel aqui. You were ahead of the pros if calling for higher for longer a year ago.  Doubtful.  I was saying that when I got here -- backed by loading up on As in December. You had no idea what a NCIB was.  Lol. Great call on the As.  You should buy some!  Or maybe not -- they're getting pricey. Which have doubled ...more

Well I can't argue with that mic drop. More interesting would be for you to fill us in on the first sentence.

So that's a "no" on letters behind your name or finance/investing gigs.  Huh. To be clear, good thinking doesn't have to come education or work, but it is amazing what you pick up when you are PAID to spend your time thinking about something -- and NOT PAID if you aren't a good thinker.

Not the correct idiom. "Putting your foot in your mouth" conveys saying something that embarasses someone else. One of my favourites is "Teaching your grandmother to suck eggs."  First heard it on the London trading floor 25 years ago.  Seldom heard in North America and I have to explain it when I roll it out. Look it up.

Teach your grandmother to suck eggs: Emerging sometime in the 1700s, and less commonly used today, this phrase intimates that a person might be "presuming to teach someone something that he or she knows already," said Turner. "The expression was most likely conceived as a comical way to drive the message home that elders know more than their juniors imagine."

"On the London trading floor" Coincidentally, we were at the Bank of England museum at the end of April. The stock exchange is very nice and my wife says the bathroom is quite fancy. From there we had to rush over to Horizons 22 on Bishopsgate. They have a fantastic viewing area and a fine view of the city and Canary Wharf. We actually looked down on "The walkie talkie" ...more

Jelly! Haven't been in over a decade.  I spent a week there ever quarter or so for many years. So many other great places to visit, hasn't made the top of our list.  Sad. Office was near London Bridge but I usually stayed in Covent Garden or Mayfair so I could get a nice long walk in and take in the sights and sounds. Lots of fuzzy memories of Shepherd Market restaurants and ...more
