This is what Brookfield should have done with the NCIB.....

This is what Brookfield should have done with the NCIB.....Just target ONE of the Prefers, idealy one that is resetting soon that can be redeemed with a high outstanding short volume.

Shorts will come out to short short short to keep that share "in line" with all the others.

Brookfield wouldn't need to "Tender" or "redeem for $25", crazy shorts will provide the shares.

For example, if Brookfield kept buying the A's, pushing the shares to $16 today, for sure Shorts will come out to short the A's.
