Only 10,000,000 "T" shares issued. How many outstanding who

knows?    Even if all 10,000,000 were outstanding it would only cost $150,000,000 to buy them all back at current share price.

If I was Brookfield, I would test my theory and quietly buy 10,000,000 shares and see if I can buy one more, for a total of 10,000,001 shares.

Then call for redemption and start selling shares to shorts at $1000+ per share or more.

I normally no longer answer posts by crazy but could not resist this one. How many outstanding who knows? I took me about 20 seconds to get the information: 9,943,172 It is easily available from the TSX LINK "it would only cost $150,000,000 to buy them all back at current share price.    " Now, let's think that one through. Would all shareholders sell for $15?  ...more

Pierre, you do have a reading/understanding problem.    My point.... To test my theory that I won't need you to sell, that I will get my shares from shorts.  (Your broker will "loan" out YOUR shares to short) The T's traded as low as $10.02.    If at that time company started to bid the T's up to $15 the next day.... I bet you would have sold, if ...more

"I bet you would have sold," Of course not. On Dec 27 I purchased BPO.PR.T at $10.50 as reported on this board at the time. I did not sell when the shares went up to $15. You simply do not understand what short selling is all about and how it benefits the market over time. You are fighting the wrong war!

Again Pierre, you demonstrate you can't read and understand.    If the T's went to $15 the next day, Dec 28, while all the others traded as they did.... you wouldn't sell??? !!!!! Maybe not, as you have some kind of F -uped financial sense. Comparing the A's and T's using the same number of shares. Saying Brookfield would never buyback thier permanent capital, that ...more

"You totally lack any financial sense on how to use your TFSA and RRSP accounts to take advantage of what they can do for you." ??? Projection - that is your problem.  You imagine everyone is in a situation similar to yours. As you know my wife and I are in our late 70's.  As such RRSP is a tool no longer available.  TFSA have been maxed every year and we have made ...more

Pierre, you understand nothing, you don't have a clue what I'm saying.

And Pierre, you will never understand.   That is who you are.    Your wife must have said the same things to you as I do now.... But she no long does and she knows it's useless/pointless with you.
