Yup agree with you 100%.
Problem is the Russia people will pay the price. He will probably end up islanding Russia once again and all the gains they have made over the last couple decades will go down the tube. All so he can save face and maintain power.
Meanwhile the rest of the free world will get through this little bump in the road. Our standard of living will continue to rise and Russia will revert back to Cold War era. IMO not a smart thing to do over a chunk of land.
