This sector (while essential) has been blackballed and ignored for years which has forced Canadian companies to squeeze every available cost saving and become as lean as possible . Oil and gas will be required for decades to come , we need to take pride in the most ethically produced product worldwide and use it wisely to support employment and government revenues . Canada needs to wake up politically and manage our economy for all provinces , not just Ontario and Quebec .
This country needs Energy East and leadership thats man enough to see it built . Where is the logic in risking an ocean tanker trip from Vancouver to St John when the product can be safely transported by pipeline ? When will Canada demand an end to Saudi Arabian oil imports and stop bleeding billions of dollars to countries that want to see north america destroyed ? We also need Keystone XL and a PM who's willing to support it .
The narrative in Canada needs to change , cancel culture politics need to end . This country needs a leader , an educated adult to revive our economy and use the resources we have available to us .
