Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 162,000 net acres of crude oil operations. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

This is why it's important to walk it through.

Of course there are other considerations;
1. Operating efficiency and netbacks today are well ahead of where they were historically 
2. Clearwater (new asset) is one of the most economical plays in North America 

So to be conservative I ignore those two facts and stick with the numbers.

Most people will look at float and ignore production change, netball change and most are oblivious of FX impact.

Some uneducated investors might only focus on float which would be a big mistake as the numbers show.

Always good to increase business acumen and understand all the numbers.

Interesting float back in the day - certainly knew it would have been lower but I was not sure by how much...and seriously impressed by the production increase over the years - fantastic growth.

I am also very much in the camp of share buybacks versus firing up the divy train.
