RE:Transition ....... what's that ?

RE:Transition ....... what's that ?Don't hold your breath Octane.  The Dems may actually win in November.  As for me, I am very conflicted. On one side of the equation, I would like "humans" to be more responsible when considering the environment. There are many of us, and we are increasing in number.  Every additional people wil require resources that are finite and to acquire them requires more resources.  So yes we are polluting the planet and destroying the environment in the process.  I think policies do need to be put into place to limit the damage we are creating.

The problem is that our planet is 1 giant biosphere and what 1 nation does at one end of the planet affects what occurs at the other end.  Assuming that Green House  Emmissions are the biggest problem, and CO2 specifically, Canada's reductions are insignificant when compared to the amount of CO2 produced in India for example. Simply using a carbon footprint is not telling the whole story.  We need to heat our homes in te winter which increases our footprint dramatically for example. In certain countries if only 10% of the population can financially afford to travel while the other 90% can't afford a car, will reduce their footprint signficantly.  It's an accidental reduction in the nation's footprint. FYI 10% of China's population is still 5x greater than Canada's entire population meaning that although their carbon footprint may be lower per capita, they are creating an enormous amount of CO2 emmisions nonetheless.  I could go on...

The funny thing is that " THE WATER CYCLE" through water evaporation may be the biggest possible contributor to our green house problem as the water vapour acts as a shield that then may cause an increase in temperature.  This is accelerated OUR decelarated based on the sun (yes the sun's heat is not constant.

I use the word "MAY" because the changes need to be measured in 100s if not 1000s of years. I provided a chart over the last 400 000 years last week that shows this pattern clearly. So if it's the water vapour that is causing these changes, what exactly do our wonderful politicians pan to do? Exactly...
