RE:RE:RE:RE:Humor me while I vent Just a couple of points masfortuna , I don't believe "we get the government we deserve" , instead I say we got the government people were too lazy to really look into . Canadian media want liberals in power so Canadians unknowingly pay taxes to keep this crooked media financially sound . MSM generate fear of conservatism by vilifying CPC/Rep politicians and glorify unqualified liberals as the only option . This media bias should be illegal without FULL DISCLOSURE OF FINANCIAL BENEFITS PAID BY THIS LIBERAL GOVERNMENT .
As for the "WOKE" fascination with America's history of slavery , it is a short sighted dog-whistle that relies on uneducated youth outrage . For context , slavery has always been around since there has been a monetary system , the rich have always owned slaves throughout history . If you read the bible , it is an owners manual for slave treatment . As quoted from the bible , "if someone kills your slave then you have the right to kill one of theirs" . All races have been victims and beneficiaries of slavery throughout history , it WASN'T invented in America in 1776 .
The entire "WOKE" platform is based off of cherry picked facts that are used to discredit historical figures by judging them by today's standards . A generation of misguided teachers have corrupted today's youth with more focus on a 6 year olds sexuality as opposed to math , science , language or geography . Most kids can't spell , they can't write a proper letter of even tell you state or provincial capitals . Without a cell phone , they can't do basic math or even tell you their own phone number .
John Kennedy (in a famous speech) purposed this thought to America , "ask not what your country can do for you , ask what you can do for your country" . That can-do attitude put 2 men on the moon and safely returned them to earth in less than a decade . Today you can't get a simple pipeline built in that amount of time .
Democracy has lost its way , until politicians start working for their country and taxpayers instead of their own personal gain , this form of government will surely crash . We stand by and watch every domestic advantage neutralized or given away until we no longer have the ability or resources to protect ourselves .
I don't "fear" climate change as a threat to humanity , I fear what happens when millenials get control of government and are shocked that Putin/Xi won't respect their "safe word" or give them a time out .
